Believe in Yourself

No matter how hard you try, no matter how many steps you make in the right direction, you will occasionally stumble backward. No problem! Don’t allow a few mistakes to become your excuse to give up on all the other success you’re achieving.

Be persistent and keep taking positive steps forward.

  1. Stop expecting perfection. Your mistakes might not really be that bad. Focus on the positives and reward yourself for the successes you have been able to accomplish even if you weren’t 100% happy with everything you did this week.
  2. Start a food diary, focus on the positives. So you got carried away and ate a sleeve of cookies (you’re not the only one who has done it). Big deal. Concentrate on the positive things you’ve done, like all of the servings of whole grain you were able to work in throughout the week. That’s progress to be proud of. Keep trying!
  3. Forgive yourself for something. Remember those cookies? Acknowledge, move on.
  4. Spend more time with uplifting people A positive attitude is contagious, so go catch some and then pass it along!
